An update...

This past week we were super busy with practices and tumbling and then we had a competition in Genoa this past weekend. It was nice that it was so close - only 30 minutes away! This competition was raising money for the American Cancer Society so we wore pink shirts and black shorts to perform in - awesome right! Our routine was awesome but we were 2 seconds short on our time frame and got deducted 25 points (this doesn't happen in all competitions, we usually have a maximum time limit, but not a minimum). That deduction made us fall to 3rd place :( We would have beat the first place team by 11 points if we didn't have that stinkin' deduction. I felt alright about that because I knew our performance ROCKED! After being home for a bit we went to my Nana's and had subs and salad. We watched some of the Olympics and on the ride home Jakey and I both fell asleep.
On Sunday we went to my Grandma's for some of her Chicken Rice Soup and then Mom helped me with a 3D puzzle. It's a koala bear and is so cute!
Today we had a 2 hour delay because of the snow we got over night, but I didn't miss my Book Fair! I got a book called The Princess Plot for me and Froggy Goes to Camp for Jakey. I also had practice. When I got home I got a really nice card from Aunt Judy - THANK YOU AUNT JUDY! It was very awesome, thanks for sending it to me.

WE DID IT AGAIN!

We had a competition in Canton, OH yesterday and we came in 1st place AGAIN!!!! This competition was at a Civic Center and it was HUGE! All the parents got to come out onto the floor and sit in front of the mats. It was really neat.
Mom got us up at 7 am so that we could leave at 7:30 to go see my friend compete in her first individual routine. This was her first time and she did really good. She had 4 other girls to compete against and she came in 3rd. We were the only ones there routing for her and it felt good to do that. The rest of the squad didn't have to be there til 3, so we had time to run around, shop for a new shirt for me (I got one that said "There are a million other things more important than cheerleading" on the front and on the back it said "But I cannot think of one."), and eat some concession food. Our coach had us paired up with a buddy and we exchanged gifts before we competed. I got a really cool pink basket that had 2 packs of gum, animal crackers, a mirror and Nerds chapstick. I think we find out tomorrow who our next buddy is because we have another competition on Saturday. This one is helping Breast Cancer, so we are going to wear pink shirts with black shorts. We even changed our swooshes in our cheer shoes to pink ones! It's so neat!
Mom let us watch Disney Channel most of the day today and we got to see Camp Rock, I just love that movie!

A frickin' elephant

My Mom got this joke in an e-mail yesterday and I couldn't stop laughing. It's so funny!

Jake is 5 and learning to read. He points at a picture in a zoo book and says, "Look Mama! It's a frickin' Elephant!"

Mom taks a deep breath and asks "What did you call it?"

"It's a frickin' Elephant, Mama! It says so on the picture!"

And so it does ...
